shave my legs sunday...

all these cool mommy bloggers do this cute little 'wordless wednesday' entry, well, i don't have time on wednesdays. i have decided that i don't have time for much of anything most days of the week! until the weekend, i never even think about whether or not i have shaved my legs. some of you are appauled right now, but let's face it...you've been there! it has been an unusually strange, surreal, and BUSY week. kinda glad it's over and looking so forward to things to come!!!

my boys keep me laughing and when counting my blessings i count them three times :)

here are the goofy threesome...typically all shirtless, cracking up, and luckily pretty darn sweet! i'm thinking that i will be likely to get a shot with all three looking and paying attention at the same time NO time in the near future!!

i am so thankful for my husband who has put up with me this weekend. it has been a little trying, crazy, and without a doubt busy and he is helping me host bunco tomorrow night for me and 11 of my very closest, loudest friends :) wish him luck! he already made the pumpkin dip (don't tell him i told you he made it, he may get embarrassed...but he also made the sweet potato casserole he has to take to work tomorrow)

a newly appointed angel...

picture stolen from ashley hopper photography

this is tate's first librarian. she was the coolest because she was friends with his aunt ashley. i remember leaving her school after volunteering at the book fair and calling my sister and saying, "wow, she's good!!!" tate LOVED her! we would run into her around town and she would go crazy over his dimples and his love for reading. i have decided that between aunt ashley and miss G's influence...we have a reader on our hands! i am sad for her friends and family and for her niece and nephews who she spoiled and loved on like my sisters and sis-in-law do my boys. i am happy for her. she is walking through heaven's gates pain free.
i hope that anyone who reads this can take a new holiday outlook. family feuds, friendly squabbles, housekeeping, kid issues, too busy, too broke...guess what? you are here and have more time on this Earth to influence people, to be positive, to make a difference. check out G's family blog...your heart will be broken and hopefully softened by her grace and love for Christ.

ready for picture-palooza...

we had a fun, fun halloween!! we are so thankful for our big family and too many places to go. little w had shots that very afternoon and we had to cut our night short, but still managed to have a wonderful time for the big boys!!
our week started with hippy day at school.

we wanted to recreate aunt emily's witches finger cookies that she always makes us for halloween. weeelllll, our's looked a bit like monster claws, but they were still so fun to make and yummy!!

ok, so last but not at all least...the twin ninjas from the cobra kai dojo (no mercy)

and a little baby pirate, ARGH!!

notice the barricade of cushions protecting that little pirate from the dreaded fireplace...we are crawling and grabbing EVERYTHING. crazy fun for all!!! the spooky hayride ended up being what the boys could not stop talking about all weekend! smores, smores, and more burnt marshmallow smores! and a saturday morning visit from our friends bernie and liz with little baby hank. too fun. they even made it to lane's soccer game...YES! our little scorer!!
oh yes, and one more pic...aunt ashley in her bride of frankenstein wig. wyatt thought it was great! and i will spare the picture of the hair going right up his nose.
